Job Summary:
The Director of Clinical Operations will oversee the clinical and operational functions of a multi-site interventional pain management group. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination between providers, staff, and administration. The Director will drive process optimization, patient experience, and clinical excellence while managing resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations Management
Oversee daily clinical operations across all practice locations.
Develop and implement standardized clinical workflows and best practices to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Ensure seamless coordination between physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
Monitor and optimize patient flow, triage processes, and appointment scheduling.
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and mentor clinical staff, ensuring a high-performing and patient-centered team.
Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture that prioritizes patient care.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement professional development programs.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations (CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
Maintain accreditation and quality assurance standards for all clinical locations.
Develop and monitor clinical performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Patient Experience & Engagement
Enhance the patient journey by improving access, communication, and service delivery.
Implement and oversee patient satisfaction initiatives.
Address patient concerns and develop strategies to improve retention and loyalty.
Financial & Operational Performance
Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage clinical budgets.
Optimize supply chain and procurement processes to control costs.
Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
Technology & Process Improvement
Work with IT and administrative teams to ensure efficient use of the EHR system (eClinicalWorks).
Lead automation efforts for patient intake, appointment management, and referrals while maintaining a high-quality patient experience.
Stay updated on new healthcare technologies and trends to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in clinical operations management, preferably in pain management or a related specialty.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Experience with process improvement, staff management, and financial oversight.
Proficiency in EHR systems (experience with eClinicalWorks preferred).
